A looper. Oh boy, it can make playing fun. I first got a taste of the looper magic with my old BOSS ME-25 multi-effect pedal. It had a 30-second looper, and I used it like crazy. This was back in 2010… nowadays we are spoiled. There are so many amplifiers that come with a built-in looper.

27 Guitar Amps With A Looper
The Line 6 Spider V 60 is a feature-rich practice amp for beginners and for more experienced players. The drum and riff loops make it a great practice/jamming buddy, and endless presets make it well-equipped for handling various genres. It’s not the best-sounding amp in my opinion, but if you need a powerful and super fun-to-use guitar amplifier, the Spider V is certainly worth considering.
Note that some amplifiers with built-in looper require a footswitch to work. Some amps like this come with a footswtich, but surprisingly often you need to buy the footswitch separately. I tried to mention whenever the amp needs a separate footswitch that doesn’t come with the amp, but always check the things yourself too.

What I like

What I don’t like
- Volume is not enough for playing with a band (there are exceptions of course, maybe your band is super quiet)
Who is it for?
If you are after an extremely versatile acoustic guitar amp with great effects, Bluetooth, and a looper (90 seconds!), this Fender Acoustic Junior 100 is a great choice. It works great for a solo performer or if you are just jamming at home and offers great bang for the buck.

Are Guitar Amps With Built-In Loopers Worth it?
To me, guitars amps with a looper are definitely worth the money. You don’t need to buy separate pedals and play with them…you just buy an amplifier with a looper feature and you are good to go. Of course, some looper pedals have more features and better usability than built-in loopers of an amp, but for most players amps looper will be enough. If you are in search of a looper pedal, this Ditto looper is my favorite.
I have to also note that footswitch does make use of a looper easier, you can do the looping smoothly by pressing the buttons with your leg. If the amp has just small buttons for the looper, hitting them quickly could be a bit tricky…but not impossible(been there with Line6 Spider).
Does The Fender Mustang Amps Have A Looper?
Fender Mustang LT amps don’t have a looper, but Fender Mustang GTX- amps have a 60-second looper. But in order to use the looper you need to buy a separate footswitch. You can sometimes get Mustang GTX amps bundled with a footswitch for a great price.

What a selection of amps! Great guitar amps with a looper, from portable electric guitar amps to huge acoustic guitar powerhouses. But I personally think that there should be even more electric guitar amplifiers with a looper, it’s so cool feature. I can only imagine how fun it would be to have a looper on my Boss Katana 50 Mkii…
