I first grabbed the guitar in 2009. I started this website in January 2020 because I couldn’t do window installation anymore due to my health problems. I love guitars and have played dozens and dozens of different guitars through different amps and pedals over the years, and also, building a website interested me, so I decided to just go for it! I got lucky and managed to get awesome people to help me with my website.
I also got lucky because I have you visiting my website right now. Thank you. I do all this for you guys. If you have any recommendations, tips, or feedback, just leave a comment, I would love to chat with you. I have also been fortunate to produce content for several large guitar websites, such as Songsterr, Musicnotes, GuitarGuitar, and Ultimate Guitar.
I spend my spare time exercising and hanging out with my wife and crazy dog (I guess that went the right way…).

10 Best Guitarists of All Time – Chosen by GNDs own Tyler (crazy good guitarist producer from LA)

I will get hate for saying this, but to me, Jimi Hendrix is not the best guitarist of all time. He is awesome. But not the best.
Please do not shoot me if we meet. Hitting is ok.
No, he wasn’t. Sadly he suffered the same problem as Randy Rhoads. We’ll never quite know where they’d be now and how they might have developed. For that it is hard to state that they are in the “greatest guitarist” lists.
Hendrix was innovative, yet not very good at replicating his work. That isn’t a massive complaint, but shows a lack of restraint that was echoed in his life and death.
I agree 100%. He is also a true electric guitar Pioneer. That’s one reason pretty much everyone knows him. That doesn’t necessarily make him the best tho.
Yeah, I’m not happy about this. A great list of guitarists, but this is like asking me to shoot all my old pets that weren’t the best pet.
Justin, no need to shoot anybody. This is just about picking one and lifting it to the pedestal above all others, haha
The phrase “Of all time” is just loaded with innuendo. Because time is an ongoing thing, I had to couch my answer in the context of my own purview – which would be Jimmy Page. But, if we widen the time frame we could include newer players such as Mateus Asato and Matteo Mancuso – simply monstrous talent. Their footprints are still making impressions. Conversely, there may have been guitar players in the past that would blow the doors off of everyone we’ve known to date. They just didn’t have the benefit of mass media and social network visibility 🙂
Thanks for pointing these newer guys out Steve. I added them to the match! And yes. There might be some amazing guitarist using totally mindblowing innovative guitar wizard moves who lived in the Amazon rainforest for example.
Danny Gatton.
Added! Thanks for pointing out, it makes this list better!
Dave Navarro isn’t an option to vote for, so I didn’t vote.
Hi Robert and thank you for visiting. Now the Dave Navarro is there, so throw in your vote. Thank you for pointing him out. This is how this works.
Shawn Lane & Michael Romeo
Added! Thanks John!
Steve Lukather, Terry Kath, Gary Richrath and Elliott Easton
Thank you Robert! I added them all. Dunno how I missed Terry Kath…my bad.
Matt Pike!!! Drop out of life with bong in hand, follow the smoke to the riff filled land!
Thank you Richard! I added him!
There is no guitar player living or dead better than Jimi Hendrix
Hi Cheryl and thanks for visiting! I’m just curious, why you think so?
